Officer William Fowler has been an officer in Oshkosh since December 2000. Prior to 2000, Will worked for the City of Platteville Police Department for 10 years. He and Aik teamed up in 2015 where they began working 1st shift. In September 2015, they traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for six weeks of very demanding training. During that training, they learned the basics of what is required of a Police K9 Handler and a Police K9. Aik is a dual purpose K9. This means he works Patrol duties; handler protection; subject apprehension and tracking. Aik is also a drug dog trained in five drugs: Marijuana, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Heroin and MDMA or as it is better known, Ecstasy.

K9 Aik Highlights:

  • Located a large quantity of drugs in a storage unit and eventually the seizure of thousands of dollars and well over $100,000 of property
  • Located 73 lbs. of Marijuana (1/1-8/18/16)
  • Located 5.21 grams of Psilocybin Mushroom
