Subject:      Deceased Dog located in the 2100 Block of Wisconsin St

OSHKOSH, WI (April 17, 2025): The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating an animal complaint in which a deceased dog was located in the 2100 block of Wisconsin Street in the City of Oshkosh.

On 04/16/2025 at approximately 12:51 PM, Officers were dispatched to a multi-tenant property located in the 2100 block of Wisconsin St. A resident had called the Oshkosh Police Department to report that a deceased dog had been found inside of a dumpster. The dog is described as a medium size female, black in color, approximately 3- 4 years old. The dog was located inside of a metal dog kennel and was severely emaciated. At this time, officers are trying to identify the owner of the dog.

Animal cruelty and neglect will not be tolerated in our community- these acts are both inhumane and unacceptable. If individuals find themselves unable to provide proper care for their pets, there are local resources available to assist.
