Subject: Weapons incident
OSHKOSH, WI (April 18, 2025): The Oshkosh Police Department responded to a weapons incident that occurred in the area of the 400 block of N. Main Street in the City of Oshkosh.
On 4/18/2025 at approximately 1:50 AM, officers from the Oshkosh Police Department were dispatched to a weapons call in the 400 block of N. Main Street where a male had fired a gun into business occupied by numerous people. Officers immediately responded to the area and learned that an adult male had suffered a gunshot wound and that the suspect had fled on foot. The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
Officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect and with the assistance of the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was taken into custody at approximately 2:15 AM in the city of Oshkosh. The suspect, a 39-year-old male from Oshkosh, was ultimately taken to jail for attempted 1st degree intentional homicide.
