Subject: VNU Drug Investigation
OSHKOSH, WI (June 23, 2025): As a result of an intensive drug investigation, the Oshkosh Police Department and the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Group (LWAM) conducted search warrants on June 23, 2025 at two residences, one located in the City of Oshkosh and another residence located in the Town of Nekimi.
After a several months long investigation conducted by Investigators from OPD’s Vice and Narcotics Unit and the Lake Winnebago Metropolitan Group (LWAM), one individual from Oshkosh was arrested. Numerous items were seized during the search warrant to include: 1.57 pounds of Methamphetamine, a vehicle, and $675 in cash.
The 49-year-old male is currently being held at the Winnebago County Jail, on a Probation and Parole hold. Criminal charges for this investigation are forthcoming.
We want to thank the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department for assisting with this drug investigation.
The Oshkosh Police Department continues to work diligently to investigate crimes of this nature. The presence of illegal drugs, drug dealers, and weapons poses a threat to the health, safety, and well-being of our residents. Drug overdoses are a threat to all of us. We will not tolerate the distribution, sale, or possession of illegal narcotics within our city. We will continue to work tirelessly, utilizing all available resources to identify and apprehend those individuals who engage in these destructive behaviors. We stand united with our community in the fight against drugs, ensuring Oshkosh remains a safe place for all. The safety of our citizens is our top priority.
