Subject: Accident Church Avenue and Division Street

 

OSHKOSH, WI (March 25, 2026):

Earlier this morning at approximately 3:35 AM, Officers responded to an accident involving a vehicle that struck a utility pole. Preliminary information indicates the vehicle was traveling northbound on Division Street from Church Avenue when it left the roadway and struck the pole. There were four occupants in the car.

A 29-year-old male passenger from Oshkosh was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment of severe injuries.

The 27-year-old male driver from Oshkosh was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated Causing Great Bodily Harm.

The Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit is assisting on scene. Division Street between Church Avenue and W Parkway Avenue is closed to traffic while Officers continue the investigation. Please avoid this area and use alternative routes.
