Subject: Weapon Complaint in the 800 block of Wisconsin Street
OSHKOSH, WI (May 25, 2026): At 12:15 AM, the Oshkosh Police Department responded to the 800 block of Wisconsin Street for a disturbance involving several individuals, one of whom was observed with a handgun. It was reported to the police that an adult male handed a handgun off to a juvenile. Upon officers' arrival in the area, multiple juveniles were observed running, and several were stopped and questioned by police. One adult male was also taken into custody by police.
Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence, and three stolen firearms were located inside.
As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested and taken to jail for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Dangerous Weapon – Intentionally Gives a Dangerous Weapon to a Person Under 18 Years of Age, Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon - Going Armed While Intoxicated, Obstructing an Officer, Disorderly Conduct and Possession/Receiving Stolen Property – Firearm.
A 17-year-old male from Oshkosh was arrested and taken to jail for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon Under 18 years old, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession/Receiving Stolen Property – Firearm.
The Oshkosh Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate this matter.
This appears to be an isolated incident that stemmed from a disturbance; no one was injured. All parties involved in this incident are known to one another, and there is no further risk to the public.
