Subject: UPDATE: Fatal Accident at High Ave and N. Main St.
UPDATE: The 58-year-old pedestrian has been identified as an Oshkosh resident, Christopher Brink.
OSHKOSH, WI (August 18, 2026): The Oshkosh Police Department is currently investigating a fatal accident that occurred at the intersection of High Ave and N. Main St., which occurred around 4:12 pm. The intersection will be closed while the investigation is on-going. Please avoid the area and plan an alternate route.
The accident involved a pedestrian who was struck by a commercial vehicle. Paramedics from the Oshkosh Fire Department and police responded to this incident. The pedestrian was transported by the Oshkosh Fire Department to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The pedestrian was later pronounced deceased.
Members of the Oshkosh Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team, and Criminal Investigation Division, responded to the scene of the accident. The investigation is ongoing at this time, no more details will be released at this time.
