Subject: Disturbance with a Weapon in the 1800 block of N. Main St.

On September 18th, 2026, at approximately 10:21 PM, Oshkosh Police Officers were dispatched to a disturbance with a weapon at a residence in the 1800 block of N. Main St. The victim reported to Officers that the suspect, later identified as a 45-year-old Oshkosh man, and who is known to the victim, threatened to kill the victim and pointed a firearm at the victim. The victim escaped by running out of the residence. Officers learned from the victim that three juveniles were still inside the residence, and the suspect, when threatening the victim, had also threatened to kill the juveniles and any responding police officers in addition to the victim.

The Oshkosh Police Department’s SWAT Team, Crisis Negotiations Team, Drone Team, along with Wisconsin State Patrol and Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to this location.

Negotiators were able to contact this male and convinced him to surrender. The suspect came out of the residence, surrendered peacefully to law enforcement, and was taken into custody. He was placed in jail for: 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Disorderly Conduct, and Strangulation. A search warrant was conducted at the home, and four firearms were seized along with ammunition.
