Crime Prevention - Citizens Police Academy

Citizens Police Academy Badge

The Citizens Police Academy provides an opportunity for citizens to learn firsthand about police operations. Citizens are provided training similar to that of an actual Police Officer through a series of lectures, simulated activities and hands-on experience. The Academy is a benefit to the community and to the Department because it builds relationships and creates a group of citizens who are better informed about the reality of police work.
Application

Qualifications of the Academy applicant:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must live or work within the City of Oshkosh
  • No felony arrests or convictions
  • Be willing to sign a liability waiver
  • Be willing to submit to a criminal history background check

If you are interested in attending the Citizens Police Academy or would like more information, please contact Crime Prevention Officer Kate Mann at (920) 236-5742 or Email.
